December 6, 2019 was a particular day at Kelle (Senegal) as PWH distributes stoves to two women groups as an effort to curb on deforestation.

The ceremony was held under one of the main tree of  this small rural and remote village. Communities and religious leaders as well as Kelle's elders were all present to witness this rare event. Even though the chief was unable to attend, he sent his representative. After the prayer, PWH representative Annie, in a brief description, shed light on the organization, its goals and its accomplishments. She thanked Kelle populations and in particular Elimane Malick DIAW, the project coordinator, not to mention the chief and his staff for their warm welcome and their willingness to support the project and in the same time help families have a better life. For both groups leaders also spoke and recognized that this is a dream come true.
"We struggle everyday to find an alternative to firewoods. We struggle to preserve our environment and here comes PWH to support our effort. We cannot thank you enough. We believe others will follow PWH and support us to tackle deforestation by providing more alternatives to firewoods."
The ceremony ended with Annie handing over the new stoves to the groups. The project coordinator then demonstrated how to use the it. Songs and dances were performed by the participants as a way to show their appreciation to PWH. They also expressed their desire to see more projects to Kelle.
