SANITATION: CLEAN WATER FOR NKOUAMPBOUER1-CAMEROON (PART 1)

Take a close look at this picture and focus on the main liquid in the middle...It is water, yes a muddy water that some may not even look at nor think about using it. This water is a very precious for people from Nkouampbouer1 village in Southern Cameroon.
Indeed, for many generations people from this remote village do not have anything better than this muddy water for their needs. It is used all day long in all aspect of life where water is needed: they use to bathe, to do their laundry, to cook and to drink.
I can't tell how you feel right now after reading the above lines. It is just shocking to learn that people around us are endangering their life everyday by drinking non-potable water.  According to the World Health Organization (WHO), "some 842000 people are estimated to die each year from diarrhea as a result of unsafe drinking water, sanitation and hand hygiene." The report goes on to reveal that many infants die from  water linked diseases. "If risk factors are addressed 361000 children's deaths will be avoided".​
​PWH in his preamble has clearly stated its willingness to help those in needs. Resources are very scare and we cannot answer all calls. However, by taking a step at the time we can make a change.
After the summer camp in Agou Akplolo in 2016, PWH is now taking on another project, bringing clean water to Nkouampbouer1 village. See Part 2.
